Abstract/Contents:Following X irradiation of P. palustris, two seeds per plant were sown. From 47 pairs of progeny plants showing differences between the members of the pair only one plant was identified as being of sexual rather than apomictic origin. Progenies of this plant were crossed with P. pratensis. Of the two hybrids recovered, one had hairless seeds and short runners, and the other hairy seeds and long runners; both were apomictic. One is under registration proceedings.
