Abstract/Contents: | Discusses the benefits of aeration: encouraging deep rooting, improving percolation and filtration, and increasing pore space, which helps the soil resist compaction. Provides tips on assessing soil compaction and on choosing the right aeration technique. Matching cultivation methods to the turf conditions and increasing aeration effectiveness are also discussed. Also describes ways to work within a budget, such as swapping or rotating equipment with other turf professionals. |
