Abstract/Contents: | Describes the symptoms of bermudagrass decline caused by Gaeumanomyces graminis var. graminis. Discusses the discovery of this disease in Louisiana in 1994. Also discusses possible controls for the disease including higher cutting heights, acidifying fertilizers, aeration with core removal, adequate potassium levels, and fungicides. Mentions that results from a Florida study indicate that fungicide use did not improve the turf. |
