Abstract/Contents: | Defines the purpose and properties of Proxy (ethephon), and summarizes a study to determine the effects of Proxy on 'Penncross' creeping bentgrass in fairways. The study also compares Proxy to Primo. Includes tables displaying treatments used, percent reduction of clipping yields, visual quality, color, and turf density and rigidity. "Proxy effectively reduced clipping yields without significantly reducing turf quality." Compares costs of Proxy and Primo. |
