Abstract/Contents: | Profiles a study "currently being conducted at the Cornell University Turfgrass Research Laboratory on a stand of Touchdown Kentucky bluegrass which was established from seed during September 1986. A 3x3 factorial experiment with a randomized complete block design is being utilized to determine the effects of pH and calcium on thatch formation." Thatch and soil parameters studied include pH, reserve acidity, thatch thickness, weight loss on ignition, available Ca, Mg, K and thatch lignin, cellulose, hemicellulose, and select microarthropods. |
