Abstract/Contents: | Meloidogyne naasi was identified on barley cvs. Zephyr and Hassan in New Zealand. Barley plants grown in a glasshouse from seed sown in infested soil developed root knots. In the field affected plants occurred in circular patches and plants were stunted with bluish stems and yellow leaves. M. naasi has also been found in wheat, oats, ryecorn, Lolium spp., Agrostis tenuis, Polygonum persicaria and Glyceria fluitans. It is associated with wet areas. |
