Abstract/Contents:Discusses the recent outbreak of webworms on many golf courses in the eastern half of the United States. Suggests that "the recent outbreaks of sod webworms in bentgrass fairways and putting greens were drought-related." Cites pyrethoids as a "fast and effective" means of control for webworms "timing applications for 2 weeks or so after peak month activity" to "coincide with feeding of the young larvae."
