Abstract/Contents: | "Field plots of 'Raleigh' St. Augustinegrass were used to determine efficacy of chemical products for controlling Rhizoctonia blight. Applications of fungicide treatments at 14, 21 or 28 day intervals were initiated on 5 October and the study was continued over a six week period on intensively watered and fertilized field plots. Unusually warm and dry conditions maintained disease pressure at low levels, throughout the test. Of 22 treatments applied on St. Augustinegrass, the highest disease ratings were observed on the Actinovate treatment (13oz/1000ftd]2) applied once during the study. Other treatments produced intermediate levels of disease control." |
