Abstract/Contents: | Discusses a study designed to "evaluate and compare broadcast bait treatments and mound applications for the control of Red Imported Fire Ants (RIFA) in a bermudagrass pasture." Treatments included Distant Fire Ant Bait, Distant Fire Ant Bait + Orthene TTO, Amdro Fire Ant Bait and Award Fire Ant Bait. Results indicate "no significant differences among the treatments with regard to Post-treatment Counts of Active Colonies or Post-treatment Colony Reduction; however, significant differences were found in Post-treatment Mound Activity Ratings." |
