Abstract/Contents:"Sr and Ca contents of 2000 samples of timothy and the soil it was growing in collected throughout Finland were studied. Total Sr and Ca contents of timothy were highest in N. Finland and soluble Sr and Ca contents were highest in S. Finland. The Sr:Ca ratio was highest at lat. of 64 - 66 deg N. In Carex peat the Sr content of timothy increased with decreasing vol. wt. and pH of the soil. Sr content increased with increasing soluble Sr in the soil and decreasing plant ht. Av. Sr content was 22.8 mg/kg."
