Abstract/Contents: | Discusses research designed "to determine if Japanese beetle grub populations can be reduced in turfgrass by uncoupling the dual lure system used in standard Japanese beetle traps and instead using a two lure-two trap system to isolate male and female subpopulations thereby decreasing mating opportunities." Results of the research suggest that "the separate lure system is more effective in trapping males and females in separate traps than the dual trap system but were less effective in attracting and trapping beetles overall, and did not provide sufficient segregation between the sexes to prevent mating." |
