Abstract/Contents: | Presents a study evaluating 17 cultivars of creeping bentgrass, two cultivars of velvet bentgrass and one cultivar of colonial bentgrass for quality and disease resistance under golf green conditions. Reports that "the velvet and colonial bentgrass generally had the highest quality ratings until until a period of summer-like weather occurred at the end of May...The quality of most creeping bentgrass varieties increased or remained unchanged during this period of weather." |
