Abstract/Contents: | 1984 test to evalute certain commercially available and experimental plant growth regulators which could be used to reduce mowing frequency of tall fescue turf. Treatments were Eptam, Embark, MON 4621, Cutless alone or with Embark, 2,4-D Amine and ACP 1900. Prior to the test, the plot was maintained at a 2.5" height, but it was not mowed during the test period. Four treatment replications were applied on May 10 with individual plots measuring 6' X 10'. A table provides dry weight on 6/13, visual quality ratings on 6/21 and 7/13 and seedhead density. Cutless 50W + Embark 2S (2.0 + 0.25 lb a.i./A, respectively) gave best growth regulation. |
