Abstract/Contents:"SUMMARY: Attention is drawn from the ideas of the planner about present situations in the layout and development of sports grounds. The requirements of use, special location, and specific selection of a constructional system are discussed. ..." Close to the surface constructions (Bodennahe Bauweisen) "...are more future-oriented than the constructional system with layers. ..." Close to the surface construction can be performed economically, promoting less wear and tear, and easier to maintain with less environmental deterioration. The planner will need to be knowledgeable in a wider field of soil sciences, but the end result far surpasses any previous construction.
