Abstract/Contents:Contrasts the differences between older bentgrasses such as Penncross and the new bentgrasses such as Crenshaw and A series. Describes the newer as being bred from plants that exhibit upright leaves, higher shoot count, and shorter distance between internodes. Explains that these trials are distributed throughout the country so you can get a good idea about how a specific grass might do in a specfic region. Describes mowing heights and thick canopy which makes topdressing a challenge.
