Abstract/Contents:Describes a study conducted using creeping, colonial, and velvet bentgrasses to determine which species exhibited improved resistance to dollar spot and brown patch. Concludes that "the development of cultivars with improved resistance to dollar spot remains the highest priority in the breeding of...bentgrasses" and that "continued improvement for brown patch resistance is needed in colonial bentgrasses before this species can be widely used as a fairway/tee grass."
