Abstract/Contents: | Discusses compost teas and how they can help control wear and tear on turf and diseases. Discusses how a tea program developed nearly six years ago helped improve the health of the soil. Describes low organic matter, poor soil structure, applications of pesticides, and inorganic fertilizers as factors that will have a negative impact on the soil biology. Suggests that incorporating compost tea into the spray program can help reduce negative impacts to the soil. Describes what compost tea is and how it can help offset a negative impact on soil biology. |
