| Abstract/Contents: | "Organic and quickly soluble fertilizers were tested by the German Turf Society within its third experiment on the fertilization of turf, to test the influence on turf properties. The organic fertilizer applied, showed only gradually action, whereas the mineral components of the mineralorganic products and the quickly soluble fertilizer applied produced immediately a deepening of the colour of the turf. When compared with the non-fertilized variant, it was evident, that the fertilizer had a favourable effect on colour and density of the sward and on weed infestation. The choice of the turf fertilizer should also include considerations of price and spreading facility." The various fertilizers tested, possessing various amounts of nutrients, also affected the emergence or hindrance of Microdochium nivale to differing degrees. |
