| Abstract/Contents: | Five creeping bentgrass cultivars; Emerald, Penncross, Penneagle, Prominent, and Seaside and one velvet bentgrass cultivar, Kingstown, were rated for quality and color under different fertility rates. These rates were 3.5, 5.6 and 8.4 lbs N/1000 ft2/yr. Penncross maintained the best overall quality for the 1981 season. Kingstown and Seaside had unacceptable quality ratings. Penncross and Penneagle retained an acceptable color late into the fall. |
