| Abstract/Contents: | This experiment was initiated to test whether or not the application of phosphorus fertilizers enhanced the quality of established Kentucky bluegrass ('Baron') turf in central Iowa soils. Treatments included 0, 1, 2, 4, 8 and 12 lbs P2O5 per 1000 ft2. The fertilizer was triple super phosphate applied once per season. No real benefit in turf quality has been realized with the addition of phosphorous to established 'Baron' Kentucky bluegrass. |
