Abstract/Contents:Describes how overseeding strategies and transition practices can impact turf quality and compares the advantages and disadvantages of various techniques. Introduces the PACE Turfgrass Growth Model" that "can be used to educate golfers and managers, to provide a scientific basis for decisions, and to predict the performance of different turf types when exposed to different climates, and different oversseeding and transition practices." Distinguishes the differences between cool and warm-season turf varieties. Describes an ideal overseeding environment and discusses the problems that may occur in ideal overseeding environments.
