| Abstract/Contents: | Describes a study conducted "to determine if seasonal applications of PAC, PAC plus nitrogen (N), PAC followed by TE, and TE alone could reduce annual bluegrass population under fairway conditions over a three-year period." States that research was conducted on 'Penneagle' creeping bentgrass and annual bluegrass at the Valentine Turfgrass Research Center, Penn State University, University Park, Pennsylvania, and "the test site consisted of approximately 80 percent creeping bentgrass and 20 percent annual bluegrass." Results include that turfgrass treated with PAC "had a significant reducation in the annual bluegrass population when compared to untreated turfgrass" with or without the addition of N or TE. |
