Abstract/Contents:"Scientists at Clemson University continue to investigate Labyrithula terrestris in an effort to clearly define the relationship between salinity and salinity tolerance with the incidence of rapid blight in three susceptible cool-season grasses. Their findings include: Salinity increases rapid blight in Kentucky bluegrass, perennial ryegrass, and slender creeping red fescue. Salinity tolerance of the grasses is correlated with rapid blight tolerance. Slender creeping red fescue cultivars were more tolerant of salinity and rapid blight than Kentucky bluegrass or perennial ryegrass."
