Abstract/Contents:Article looks at recommended grasses for turf in New Zealand from four main groups: Bent (Agrostis sp.), fine leaved fescue (Festuca sp.), perennial ryegrass (Lolium perenne) and poa pratensis (Poa pratensis). Lesser groups are crested dogstail and warm-season grasses (cynodon and kikuyu grass). Includes table of N.Z. national list of acceptable amenity cultivars.
