Abstract/Contents: | Profiles several turf insect pests including chinch bugs, crane flies, and white grubs. Includes descriptions of four different chinch bug species (Blissus leucopterus hirtus, B. leucopterus insularis, B. leucopterus leucopterus, and Blissus occiduus) as well as three species of crane flies (Tipula paludosa, T. oleracea, and T. paludosa). Lists a variety of scarab beetles from which white grubs originate. |
