Abstract/Contents: | Descusses the necessity to rebuild many older courses to keep the facilities at a high quality and describes the "significant change in the business of golf design and construction that goes well beyond normal course restoration and renovation." States that a "start-over" is comprised of having "an older golf course that lacks both the proper infrastructure and the need strategic interest to make for a notable golfing experience." Describes how "large-scale problems" can be eliminated by "completely starting over." Compares the benefits of completely building a new course and upgrading the old course. |
