Abstract/Contents: | "The pesticide applicator has to realize that the fear of chemicals, chemophobis, is widespread and that the turf industry faces an uphill political battle to win public support for the use of pesticides. If you hope to achieve public confidence, you must: 1) reduce your chemical dependency. 2) go public and explain the need for pesticides. 3) be tolerant of people's opinion. 4) use safe pesticide practices. and 5) use peer pressure within the organization to force unsafe applicators to clean up their act." |
