Abstract/Contents: | "This article is concerned with the deterioration of browntop turf in newly-established sand greens at the Miramar Golf Club. As there is a wide interest in the use of sand for grassed sports areas, the first part of the article deals with the material used to construct the Miramar greens and its relationship to overseas specifications for sand-based turf constructions. [U.S.G.A. specifications] The second part of the article discusses the causes of the deterioration of the turf and the method of restoring vigorous growth." |
