Abstract/Contents:Discusses the spray drift problem that has been in existence since the invention of pesticides. States that "drift can never be completely eliminated, however, it can be reduced to minimum if pesticides are applied under favorable weather conditions and by adopting some of the many proven drift reduction strategies. One of these strategies is switching to new low-drift nozzles". Presents the results of several studies conducted to determine the performance of low-drift nozzles in achieving biological efficacy from pesticides. Provides a list of other drift reduction strategies to keep drift under control.
