Abstract/Contents: | Brief article discusses the advantages of aerification by boring rather than coring. The drilling action of the boring machine does not compact the sides of the hole and penetrates to a greater depth which avoids the formation of a compacted layer due to coring. The drilling cycle also tends to break up the soil and less is required to refill the holes. |
