| Abstract/Contents: | Discusses a study conducted on the establishment rates on zoysiagrass cultivars. States that the objective is "to identify differences in growth among zoysiagrass cultivars" and "to expand the use of zoysiagrass in the transition zone, thereby creating more sustainable and affordable golf courses." Describes the rationale behind the experiment and how it was conducted. Results indicate "significant differences among establishment rate of 39 different zoysiagrass cultivars." States that "these early results show that this study will immediately improve our ability to recommend zoysiagrass cultivars and as a result, could dramatically shorten the establishment period of golf course fairways resulting in reduced inconvenience and cost." |
