| Abstract/Contents: | "Seven experimental and commercial fungicide treatments were evaluated for their ability to control Pythium foliar blight on `Penncross' bentgrass. Compared to the inoculated check, all treatments in this trial provided good disease protection. Experimental product A1562 provided protection against Pythium foliar blight immediately after a spray application, however, it provided little residual protection during weeks without spray applications. A1580-76 and A1580-77 provided disease protection immediately after spray application and remained effective in subsequent weeks without spray applications. Neither A1580-76, A1580-77 or Subdue Maxx® caused any symptoms of phytotoxicity to the `Penncross' bentgrass or `Tifway' and `Texturf 10' bermudagrass. Subdue Maxx® provided constant disease protection throughout the course of the trials. There was no significant difference in mean disease protection between Subdue Maxx®, A1580-76 or A1580-77." |
