| Abstract/Contents: | SUMMARY: "Information is provided on the basic principles of water management and the importance of ground water for the drinking water supply. Attention is also drawn on the legal instrument of the water protection zones and their different requirements as to protection. The protectional terms of reference of the legislation of the Länder relating to sports grounds are of a very general nature not providing much information. Therefore, a number of different measures, steps and omissions are presented, that seem advisable from a precautional point of view. Turf grounds and golf links in the protectional zones are therefore, on principle, to be seen more positively than a utilization as farm land." Rating the area surrounding a protected body of water in terms of its distance from the body, and therefore its diminishing direct influence upon it as I. (the water itself), II. (50-100 m distance) and III a. + III b.(2 km away and more), guidelines are drawn from the existing laws as to what should be allowed to be built/done on any surface (what kind of planting, irrigating, fertilizing, draining etc.) |
