| Abstract/Contents: | SUMMARY: "Pots containing a sandy structure based on DIN 18035 and turf which had been sown in where the object of investigation concerning the effect of different nitrogen fertilizers as far as nitrogen intake and quantity of nitrogen washed out were concerned. The nitrogen intake from the various fertilizers appplied varied, not only totally but also at the different periods of clipping. [varied, not only in the final total, but at the individual different periods of clipping as well] The highest nitrogen intake from long-term fertilizers was registered for the Isodur-fertilizer and the polymer-coated produce, both of uniform delivery. The ureaform product supplied the plants with little nitrogen only. Horn meal held a position in-between. From the long-term fertilizers used in this experiment, the ammonium sulfate ferrilizer as an easily soluble fertilizer applied on a plot for comparison purposes, discharged larger nitrogen quantities into the infiltration water." The period of the tests was between August 1985 and the beginning of Winter 1986. The first table lists the exact composition of the soil, the mixture of grasses used, the tested fertilizers, the amounts of fertilizers applied at what times, the amounts and dates when the pots were watered as well as the dates when the grasses were cut. |
