| Abstract/Contents: | Describes the perceived erosion of golf course etiquette. Provides suggestions for reestablishing this etiquette. Advises creating "a golf course etiquette policy document...[including] specific criteria with respect to each facet of etiquette." States that "the golf course superintendent can encourage the Green Committee to lead the development of an etiquette policy dcument by setting up an initial meeting, offering a sample list of items to be addressed, and providing pictures for a handbook, website, or other form of communicating with golfers." Recommends "tasteful signage and creative educational reminders [to] encourage golfers to contribute to the overall quality of the golf course." |
