Abstract/Contents:Describes perennial ryegrass (Lolium perenne L.) as "a vigorous cool-season grass best known for its ability to rapidly establish an attractive turf stand within a short time of seeding." States that "seven perennial ryegrass trials were established between 2000 and 2004." Records the quality of each cultivar, noting turf quality, establishment, and disease. Concludes that "although significant improvements have been made to perennial ryegrasses, increased genetically stable resistance to gray leaf spot, crown rust, dollar spot, pink patch, red thread, and brown patch is still needed."
