Abstract/Contents: | Examines different type of diseases that could impact turfgrass quality and growth. Suggests that "professional turf and amenity grassland is a prime target for fungal disease...[however,] many turf diseases are not general, [they attack] particular turfgrass species in preference to others and [react] differently to various combinations of temperature, humidity and soil nutrient status." States that "one consequence for many parts of the [United Kingdom] will be grass swards growing all year round, which may be great for Sussex dairy farmers but a definite double edged sword for groundsmen." |
