| Abstract/Contents: | Describes end of season renovations to be carried out in the fall on bowling greens. Advises that "the end of season renovation programme [program] should be completed before the end of September to allow full recovery prior to the onset of winter dormancy." Also suggests that "potentially damaging outbreaks should be controlled using suitably approved amenity fungicide, applied according to the manufacturer's recommended rates and taking heed of all safety precautions." Concludes that by "[keeping] up with...closed season maintenance routines, the green will come into spring with a full, fine and healthy sward and no great scarring or moss ingress." |
