Abstract/Contents: | Discusses "carbon balances, particularly with regard to the production of atmospheric carbon dioxide (CO2) which may cause atmospheric warming - the greenhouse effect." Describes carbon present in the soil and contrasts carbon immobilization in low maintenance turf. Concludes that "turf establishment and culture will reduce the amounts of atmospheric carbon dioxide through immobilisation [immobilization] of carbon in soils." |
