| Abstract/Contents: | "The purpose of the study was to evaluate the efficiency of various fungicides for controlling brown patch (Rhizoctonia solani). Brown patch was extremely severe in 2005 (Figure 1) and trace levels of brown patch were present when treatments were initiated on 22 Jun. During the peak period of disease activity (21 Jul to 18 Aug), exceptional control (<2.0%) was provided on most rating dates form Heritage WG and TL (all rates and timings), Insignia, and L-0498. Few differences in quality and color were observed among treatments during the study and ratings generally correlated with percent brown patch." |
