Abstract/Contents:"Dollar spot (Sclerotinia homeocarpa) is a common disease on golf course fairways throughout New England and the United States. Although there are several cultural management practices that can assist in reducing disease severity, use of protective chemicals usually is necessary to control the disease during periods favorable for growth of the pathogen. The objectives of this study were to evaluate the ability of various fungicides, rates, and intervals for their ability to control dollar spot. Dollar spot pressure in Storrs was extremely low in 2005. Dollar spot only was present on one rating date (25 Sept) and an average of less than one infection center per lot was present. Although dollar spot pressure was minimal, plots treated with L-0498 (on fertilizer) provided excellent color and quality ratings throughout the study."
