Abstract/Contents: | Discusses the use of flaming for weed control. States that "research in Canada has shown that the effectiveness of propane flaming is highly dependent on plant size and species." Describes a particular experiment "conducted on the 14th fairway of the Freeway Golf Club in the Melbourne [Australia] area between January and March 2003." Concludes that "[flaming] treatments are not a viable alternative to herbicides for short-term summer suppression of kikuyu." |
