Abstract/Contents: | Profiles bowling greenkeeper Glen Craig and how he "designed and constructed a wire brush that could be used as a dethatching unit in the middle of a bowling season that would not affect the roll of the bowl in a detrimental way." States that "the brush action appears to remove a lot of brown thatch and tease any runners or excessive leaf into the air so it can be removed with a mower." Concludes that "Josco Brush Solutions has taken over the construction of the brush based on Mr. Craig's initial prototype and Turf Tec has completed the engineering required to fit the brush to existing mowers by replacing the cutting cylinder." |
