Abstract/Contents:Profiles Chipco Signature fungicide (active ingredient fosetyl-aluminum) as "a 'keystone' product for disease control programs on many golf courses." Describes a study "conducted on a USGA [United States Golf Association] specified research green at the University of Maryland Turfgrass Research Facility in College Park, [Maryland]." Results include that "plants treated with Chipco Signature had significantly higher turf color ratings when compared to untreated plants." Concludes that "foliar application of Chipco Signature improved turf quality mainly due to its ability to enhance turf color. Data indicated that photosynthesis and respiration were generally unaffected by the treatments and therefore could not be correlated with improved color and quality."
