| Abstract/Contents: | Discusses "research on a new combination material [that] shows promise against two important diseases of creeping bentgrass: dollar spot and brown patch." Desribes how Tartan combines triadimefon and trifloxystrobin to "provide effective control of many important turfgrass diseases." States that "dollar spot is one of the most common and readily identifiable diseases on golf course turf." Details dollar spot and brown spot trials that evaluated efficacy of Tartan for dollar spot control on creeping bentgrass and fungicide treatments on replicated plots of fairway. Concludes with results of both the dollar spot and brown spot trials and states that "the formulation of the two components into one product offers the advantage of using one product at prescribed dosages to protect against damage associated with a range of infectious diseases." |
