Describes the process of gibberellic acid inhibitors, explaining that "paclobutrazol, and the chemically-similar flurprimidol, reduce vertical turf growth without generally reducing tillering or other development." Mentions that "during the mid to late 1990s, turf managers who had never used PGRs [plant growth regulators] before began relying on Primo." Discusses ethephon, "a unique type of PGR [that] was released for turf management."
