Question:"We have been recommeneded to try Merion blue-grass in the development of our course. We understand it is very good. Would you let us have your advice on its suitability for use."
Answer/Response:"Merion blue-grass, sometimes called Merion smooth stalked meadowgrass (Poa pratensis) is an American selection but there would be no objection to including say 10% in any seeds mixture used for establishing fairways or tees. We think until you have experience of it, it would be wise not to include it in a greens mixture."
