Abstract/Contents: | Discusses maintenance of sports fields that may help avoid liability in the case of an accident, stating that "there's no such thing as a bad hop any-more; in it's place are poor maintenance procedures." Describes particularly dangerous elements of a sports field, including clay surfaces and fencing, and explains strategies for improving their safety. States that "foul markers should be at least 10 feet tall, so players can't fall on them" and "light poles and other obstructions in or near the field of play should be padded to at least 10 feet high or surrounded by flexible fencing." |
