| Abstract/Contents: | Presents data collected in the first year of the National Turfgrass Evaluation Project (NTEP) sponsored fairway height bentgrass cultivar trial, established in 2003, which evaluated the visual quality of "28 of the newest seeded [bentgrass] cultivars and a number of experimentals." Notes that "fungicides [were] used as needed in a preventative program" and "herbicides and insecticides [were] also applied as needed." Details the specifications of the study as well as the variables evaluated to establish overall visual quality, including genetic color, leaf texture, and percent ground coverage. |
