Abstract/Contents: | Presents an ornamental grasses project conducted at the Iowa State University Horticulture Research Station in 2000 to "evaluate 34 ornamental grasses for their adaptation to Iowa conditions." Discusses the process by which the grass species were selected, stating that "for the plots at the Horticulture Research Station, the...species have general characteristics of being bunch type, non-aggressive, varying in color, form and shape." States that "the grasses will remain in this location for several years. They will be evaluated on their winter survival and overall adaptation to local conditions." |
